Portugal South Coast - Lisbon to Spanish Border

A little further along the river we came to a very impressive and massive memorial. On each side were a series of statues of important persons in Lisbon and Spanish history 'climbing' up to the front of the memorial. The memorial itself represents Marco Polo's ship going off to explore the new world.
